The iPhoto Quick Tour pays tribute to Seinfeld. Choose the “Books Calendars Greeting Cards” segment, and about halfway through you’ll see someone creating a custom calendar item on 5 December called ‘Start of Festivus’. Festivus was presented in an episode of Seinfeld as a made-up, non-denominational, December-time holiday, and is now well-known as a Seinfeldism.

A Bush quote from a few years ago that sums up a lot: “I am the commander, see? … I do not need to explain why I say things. … That’s the interesting thing about being the President. … Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don’t feel like I owe anybody an explanation.” Quoted in Bob Woodward’s Bush at War, discussed in this interview.
